With a career spanning over 20 years in community health, she has seamlessly integrated scientific expertise with operational efficiency across various roles.

With extensive experience in international collaborations, Dr. Sharma leads global campaigns to ensure the delivery of high-quality research and development. Her work is distinguished by rigorous methodologies, yielding findings that are both relevant and applicable to policy and practice.

Born and raised in a small town (Churu, Rajasthan, India), Dr. Sharma was no stranger to the challenges faced by underserved communities. This early exposure to inequality fuelled her desire to bridge the gap between those who have and those who need, leading her to specialize in community health and global health leadership.

Over the course of more than 20 years, Dr. Sharma has dedicated her life to improving health outcomes for marginalized populations. Her journey has taken her across four continents, where she has led transformative health initiatives, developed innovative therapeutic approaches, and built resilient communities. Her work with international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF has been instrumental in shaping health policies and programs that address the unique challenges faced by diverse populations.

Her Academic Journey

University of California San Francisco (UCSF), USA (2004): After completing her Master's in Science (Human Physiology), Dr. Sharma pursued a PG Diploma in Clinical Research at UCSF. During this time, she joined an NIH-funded initiative to further her research career.

 

Walden University, USA (2006): Dr. Sharma expanded her clinical expertise and prepared for administrative roles in the industry by earning a second master's degree in Clinical Research Administration from Walden University.

 

Rajasthan University, India (2008): While contributing to the global campaign Lifting the Burden and working with SEARO, WHO, Dr. Sharma completed her doctorate in Neurology and Neurosciences. Her PhD research focused on headache disorders.

As a mother of two boys, Dr. Sharma is devoted to creating a nurturing environment that honors tradition while embracing innovation. Her keen interest in Eastern psychology, philosophy, and diverse faith-based practices further enriches her holistic approach. This allows her to connect deeply with individuals from various cultural and spiritual backgrounds, promoting mental and spiritual well-being alongside physical health.
